Implementation of Linear Programming and Decision-Making Model for the Improvement of Warehouse Utilization

Warehouses are used to store raw materials, finished goods, defective products, tools, machinery, and other company assets until needed. In addition, the warehouse is a staging area for storage packaging of products delivered customer consumer industries. Ideally, time, space, delivery lead times minimized by improving management. This study implements an integration linear programming (LP) decision-making models. The LP model provides decision-makers with optimum quantity that can be stored in based on different case scenarios considered this study. Furthermore, criteria affecting space utilization warehouses at total capacity identified. An integrated approach rough analytical hierarchical process (AHP) technique order preference similarity ideal solution (TOPSIS) utilized determine best pallet placement respective rack.
